The restoration of this house, situated in a peaceful and central environment, is distinguished by two main points:

– Spaciousness: The house has been arranged in such a way that the occupants of the premises can enjoy a range of complementary spaces.
Thus, next to more confined / more cosy rooms, a surprisingly generous space appears where the kitchen with its conviviality table unfolds. The verticality of this space is underlined by atypical and “custom made” kitchen furniture that floats in the space and by the openings in the façade housing vertical windows.
The living room, on the other hand, represents a space close to a cave with two viewing axes, one axis offering a view of the garden and the other of the more urban outside world.
The layout of the attic gives this place a sensation of space almost dematerialized by the use of “all white”.

– Authentic materials: All the period quality materials have been preserved and subtly enhanced. Thus the interior joinery has been preserved while making it more contemporary with a darker/almost black tint.
The walls have been whitewashed with lime plaster/paint. This so-called “workshop” painting was in use at the time of the building’s construction.
Other materials (such as solid wood flooring, waxed concrete, etc.) were used in a more contemporary style. All these choices have allowed us to create a house with a feeling of great serenity in which the inhabitants quickly feel “at home”.
